The Star Thrower follows three friends – Ava, Sam, and Leo – who having just graduated from law school, embark on a celebratory trip to Bali, expecting only adventure and relaxation. After a series of unexpected encounters, they reconsider their meticulously planned futures. Ava's love of illustration, Leo's love of science, and Sam's desire for freedom lure them temporarily away from the courtroom. A journey for self-discovery soon becomes a race against time to uncover the truth about an environmental abuse incident, protect endangered sea turtles, and find one's ultimate purpose. A faraway promise they made together starts world-changing work. The three friends each learn the importance of compassion, forgiveness, and taking action to create a better future.
